Skycraft has extensive turning, milling, and grinding capabilities. Beyond our own, we have at our disposal many qualified sources for special processes, including but not limited to:

  • Metal Forming
  • Coating and plating facilities
  • NDT (X-Ray, MRI, and FPI)
  • Welding (fusion, resistance and EBM)
  • Heat Treating

PRODUCTION AND INSPECTION CAPABILITIES
Skycraft maintains a certified ISO 9001-based Quality System. We are fully experienced and capable of working to aerospace tolerances. To ensure the highest quality of our products, our inspection lab boasts, amount its many tools, a programmable CMM (coordinate-measuring machine) and Opti-flex video inspection and measuring system.

In our ongoing effort to stay at the leading edge of technology our in-house machining capabilities including the latest CNC equipment. A sample of Skycraft equipment features:

  • 1998 Okuma & Howa horizontal HLJR lathe with an eight-inch chuck base
  • 1995 Kia horizontal lathe six-inch chuck base with expandable arbor
  • 1995 Okuma & Howa V-3 CNC twin spindles vertical turning lathe
  • 1997 Okuma & Howa V-35 CNC twin spindles vertical lathe
  • 1997 Okuma & Howa V-80 VTL V-80 twin spindle lathe with a 28" chuck base
  • Two 1998 Cincinnati Milacron Arrow 500s with 20" x 20" x 20" travel, all PC-based mills
  • Two 1998 Cincinnati Milacron Arrow 1000s with 20" x 40" x 20" travel, all PC-based mills
